Vice Chancellor
The Vice Chancellor serves as the Chief Executive Officer of KAAF University, providing strategic leadership and vision for academic excellence, research innovation, and institutional development.
This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of university operations, fostering academic excellence, promoting research and innovation, and ensuring the university's mission and vision are achieved.
The Vice Chancellor works closely with the Governing Board, faculty, staff, and students to create an environment that supports learning, discovery, and community engagement.

Comprehensive leadership and management duties
Academic Leadership
Provide strategic direction for academic programs, curriculum development, and educational quality assurance across all faculties.
Research Excellence
Promote research initiatives, secure funding opportunities, and foster a culture of innovation and scholarly achievement.
Strategic Planning
Develop and implement long-term strategic plans, institutional goals, and performance metrics for university advancement.
Financial Management
Oversee budget planning, financial operations, resource allocation, and ensure sustainable financial health of the institution.
Human Resources
Lead faculty and staff recruitment, development, and retention strategies to build a strong academic community.
External Relations
Build partnerships with government, industry, alumni, and international institutions to enhance university standing.

Dr Francis Achampong
Vice Chancellor
Dr. Achampong is a seasoned academic and administrator with a distinguished record of academic leadership, strategic management, and institutional development. He brings to this role extensive experience gained from serving previously as a Rector, where he provided leadership in academic governance, student affairs, admissions planning, and quality assurance.
Prior to his appointment as Acting Vice Chancellor, Dr. Achampong served as Strategic Advisor to the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science at KAAF University. In this capacity, he played a key role in strengthening academic operations, supporting curriculum development, and advancing faculty-wide strategic initiatives aligned with the University’s growth objectives.
Dr. Achampong’s leadership is grounded in collaboration, innovation, and a strong commitment to academic excellence. His appointment reflects the University’s confidence in his ability to guide KAAF University during this transition period while advancing its mission as a fully chartered institution focused on teaching, research, and community impact.
